TOWN COUNCILS EXPLAINED
Sandhurst Council

Was formed in 1894 and is the first tier of local government closest to the people it represents. It works closely with its’ Residents Associations, Bracknell Forest Council and other groups/organisations/agencies.

Our Precept for 2022/23 is £598,603.32 which equates to £74.76 per year per Band D property
(0% increase on last year).

The Council owns and maintains facilities and land at Owlsmoor Park and the Sandhurst Memorial Park which, along with Shepherd Meadows, has Green Flag status.

Other key services; The Town Council,

  • Provides First Stop Shop for information
  • Maintains and administers Community Hall Complex
  • Maintains Police Point
  • Maintains and hires sports pitches
  • Employs Clean Team
  • Provides Environmental planting and recycling area
  • Provides play areas and tennis/basketball/MUGA courts
  • Gives Grants to voluntary organisations
  • Gives a Grant to Sandhurst Day Centre
  • Gives a Grant to Youth Services
  • Hosts and provides communication network
  • Facilitates local events
